When my mobile uploads album on facebook became 90% food, some of my picture fans have been egging me on to make a food blog. I've always loved to find new places to eat at and i definitely did a lot of that during this winter break. I told myself that I will stop eating out once school starts, but it won't hurt to share some of my past experiences.. so here goes my first blog !
i'll start off with wurstkuche.
located in downtown la, this place is known for their exotic sausages and their variety of beer. My friend's a fan of la hot dogs from the street vendors, and although the hot dogs at wurstkuche is a bit more expensive, she agreed that these were worth the extra few dollars. Each sausage is served on a fresh baked roll with your choice of two toppings. I ordered the mango jalapeno with spicy peppers and caramelized onions, and my friend ordered the santafe jack cheese and jalapeno peppers with caramelized onions and sweet peppers. We both shared large belgian fries (groot) with chipotle ketchup and pesto mayo dipping sauces. I didn't get to try any of the beers since I'm not really a beer fan, but I've heard that it was really good, so it might try one next time.
I would definitely visit again for the ambience. The atmosphere is casual and trendy, and the decor of the interior is very clean and modern with cute picnic benches and table-like furniture. Parking is a bit difficult to find since it is in downtown LA, but they do offer meter parking although it requires a bit of walking. But then again, you wouldn't mind a little bit of walking if you have the opportunity to experience some bomb food.. would you? :)
